Anti-Ragging Policy

Anti-Ragging Policy

Sri Venkateswara Polytechnic College, Kazhudur, has a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and any form of harassment. The college strictly adheres to the guidelines set by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Supreme Court of India to prevent ragging on campus. Ragging in any form—whether physical, verbal, or mental—will not be tolerated, and severe disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found indulging in such activities.

Key Points of Our Anti-Ragging Policy

  • Preventive Measures: The college conducts awareness programs and workshops at the beginning of each academic year to educate students about the ill effects of ragging and the importance of maintaining a harmonious and respectful environment.
  • Anti-Ragging Committee: A dedicated anti-ragging committee is in place to oversee any incidents and complaints related to ragging. This committee includes faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives who work to ensure the safety and security of all students.
  • Anonymous Reporting: Students are encouraged to report any ragging incidents without fear of retaliation. Anonymous complaints can be made through designated complaint boxes or directly to the anti-ragging committee members.
  • Legal Action: Ragging is a criminal offense, and students found guilty will face strict legal action, including expulsion from the institution and potential legal consequences as per the law.

Sri Venkateswara Polytechnic College aims to create a ragging-free campus where every student can learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment.
